At Shōon-ji Temple, after ringing the New Year's Eve bell, a New Year's ritual called Shusho-e is held in the main hall. This memorial service looks back on the previous year, gives thanks for the various connections we have, and welcomes the new year. Originally, the main hall was decorated with majesty (decoration) inspired by the Pure Land of Paradise, but at Shōon-ji Temple, we aim to update it so that you can feel the Pure Land of Paradise even more by adding projection mapping to the image of the light of Amida Tathagata.
